We’re all familiar with Facebook and how we connect and communicate with friends online. Google have realised this too and emerged, all guns blazing, with Google Plus.
It’s still in Beta and if you’re lucky enough to have been invited you may have seen the ‘killer app’ difference – that you can very easily separate out friends from clients or from family using what they call ‘circles’.
So you no longer need to worry that your client may have seen ‘that’ photo of you at a fancy dress party.
In terms of business we all know that when businesses connect with their customers in a similar way there are huge advantages to building and maintaining those relationships. But can you do the same with Google Plus? The short answer is yes, but not quite yet. Google have requested that businesses hold back on creating Google Plus pages until they have released Google Plus for business which they are apparently actively working on.
